FounderCharlie Flowers
Hi, I'm Charlie, founder of the West Michigan Fancy Rat Association. I've always been passionate about animals, and fancy rats hold a special place in my heart because of their intelligence, personality, and the connections they create with their owners. I started WMFRA to bring together rat enthusiasts throughout West Michigan, promote responsible ownership, and create opportunities for education, community, and fun.
Outside of WMFRA, I compete in disc dog sports with my Border Collie, Rennie, enjoy spending time with my partner's dog, Kona, and share my home with two rabbits. My goal is to help build a welcoming community where rat lovers of all experience levels can connect, learn, and celebrate these incredible animals together.

Hello! Im Storm, I am the vice president of West Michigan Fancy Rat Association. I’m an all around animal guy having a passion for rats and rat genetics. My partner and I strive to breed friendly and adorable rats that everyone enjoys and loves. I am very excited to help reinforce and be apart of WMFRA to help better rat breeding and husbandry.
Besides being apart of WMFRA and rat breeding I compete in dog sports and enjoy dog training. We do bikejoring, weight pull, barn hunt and rally. My partner and I have 3 border collies, a golden retriever and 2 poodle mixes. Also going to be getting pigeons in the near future as well!
